One Life

Written by Doug Goodman. November 9, 2007.

Too much to do, not enough time to do it
Not enough of me to go around
Voice mail is full, on a call, a call is waiting
Not enough of me to go around

There are those who say beware, that a busy life
Can be so empty and bare

Too much to do, makes time go by too quickly
Always something on the list
Got no spare time, no chance for idle fancies
Always something on the list

There are those who say beware, that a busy life
Can be so empty and bare

One life to live, our days and years are numbered
Make them all count with no regrets
Empty or full, depends on how it's measured
Make it all count with no regrets, no regrets, no regrets

Consider the alternative, if you had much more time, more time, than you need
Have more leisure, get more rest.......just waiting for your turn, your turn to leave?

Too much to do, too little time to do it,
Give me the busy-ness, don't want the rest
One life to live, our days and years are numbered
There's going to be enough for me..............
